Everything you need to know about our privacy architecture, tool mechanics, file limits, and commercial usage.
Yes, 100%. Traditional tool websites upload your files to remote cloud servers to process them. FreeCodeKit uses modern browser APIs (HTML5 Canvas, WebAssembly, and Web Cryptography). All image conversions, resizing, and OCR extraction occur solely in your computer’s local memory (RAM). Nothing is sent across the internet.
Yes. You hold full rights to all files and outputs you generate—including barcodes for merchandise packaging, QR codes for marketing flyers, cropped screenshots for client presentations, and exported CSV data. We do not insert watermarks or require attribution.
No, they never expire. Many commercial QR services create "dynamic" links that route through intermediary tracking domains which stop functioning unless you pay a monthly fee. FreeCodeKit generates static, direct QR codes where the data is embedded directly into the pixel grid. They will work indefinitely.
PDFs have two security types: Owner Restrictions (which block printing/copying) and User Passwords (which encrypt the document). If your PDF only has owner restrictions, our tool unlocks it instantly without a password. If it is encrypted with an open password, you must enter it once so your browser can decrypt the stream and rebuild a clean, permanently unprotected copy.
The tool utilizes a binary search compression algorithm. It automatically tests compression quality levels and downscales pixel density in small steps until the output file fits directly below your specified threshold (such as 20 KB for signatures or 50 KB for passport/exam portals) without unnecessary quality degradation.
Yes. Our breach auditor utilizes mathematical k-anonymity. Your password is first converted to a SHA-1 hash locally inside your browser. Only the first 5 characters of that hash are sent to the breach database. The database returns a list of matching hashes, and your browser searches that list locally. Your plain password or full hash never leaves your device.
Once the webpage is loaded in your browser tab, almost every utility (Calculators, Password Generators, Barcodes, Image Converters) can run completely offline. Because there is no backend server computation, you can disconnect your Wi-Fi and the tools will continue to function.
Our financial calculators are built using official formulas (such as FBR slab schedules, standard IRS deductions, and standard banking reducing-balance formulas). However, they are designed for planning and estimation purposes. They do not constitute certified financial or tax advice. Always verify with a certified tax accountant before filing official returns.
